-vi indicates the past tense, I loved/have loved and I thought/have thought. The future tense is formed with the tag -bi- (in the first and second conjugations). In the third and fourth conjugations it is formed by replacing the vowel at the end of the stem with a long e.
What are we supposed to summarize from chapter 1?
