  1. Would the -ae tang on the ending of the first and last word in sentence number 9 indicate the plural, vocative case?

  2. The ending of the first word, the -a, is the nominative singular tag, indicating that philosophia is the subject. The tag on the last word, -ae, is genitive singular, indicating that vitae should be translated with an "of": Philosophy is the art of life.
